- Keep a decent savings. One of the best things you can do to prepare for any unexpected event is to have some money saved. Usually, it is a good idea to have between 3 and 6 months of expenses covered in your savings account.
- Keep your insurance up to date. Make sure that you are paying for your insurance on time and that your coverage is sufficient for all of your needs—even the most unexpected.
- Keep your Records in order. If your records are well organized, you (or your dependents) will be able to access them in an emergency to make sure all of your bases are covered.
