All of us have a busy schedule and never enough time to get what we want done. If you are flying by the seat of your pants trying to get things done you can find that time is often in control of you. You may have several things on your mind but if you don’t plan and schedule properly you probably won’t get them done in time. Here are some tips to help you schedule in the most effective way.
- Set your schedule based on priority of tasks as well as difficulty. If you need to get something done urgently it is best to put it first so that you aren’t focusing on it all day. The same applies larger projects here you have to spend a lot of time. You may be just too burned out by the end of the day to even get a portion of it done. So it is better to get the big things done earlier.
- Set time aside to evaluate and organize what you need to get done for the day. This can be a time to fix your schedule up and make any last minute changes you may need to make. Also this is a time to focus on some of your long term goals and see how you are getting there in your small task list.
- Develop a routine so it becomes habitual. Whether it is waking up early to work out or just doing homework, it is good to have a set time for each day so you can get used to it. A planner will become less of a necessity with some of these tasks as you learn to train your mind and body to just get them done the same time each day.
- Make a detailed and ordered list that helps you plan out all of the things that you need to get done in a day. This will help take things piece by piece and will help keep you from getting too stressed about everything on your plate.
